Ireland's Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe, has stated that he has significant reservations regarding U.S. proposals for a global minimum tax of at least 15% and has no plans to increase Ireland's current 12.5% corporate tax rate. In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Minister Donohoe said: " We absolutely want to engage with President Biden and his team, but we do have really significant reservations regarding a global minimum effective tax rate status at such a level that it means only certain countries, and certain size economies can benefit from that base - we have a really significant concern...
