The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia has announced that it is offering a Special Income Remittance Program (Program Khas Peremitan Pendapatan - PKPP) to Malaysian residents. The program is being provided considering that the general income tax exemption on foreign-source income received in Malaysia will be canceled from 1 January 2022 as part of the 2022 Budget (legislation pending enactment).
