On 7 September 2018, officials from Indonesia and Singapore met and agreed to finalize negotiations for revisions to the 1990 income tax treaty between the two countries, which will reportedly include updating Article 25 (Exchange of Information) to bring it in line with the OECD standards for information exchange. Any resulting revisions will be the first to the treaty, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
