The Hong Kong government announced on 30 June 2017 that the orders to implement the pending tax treaties with Belarus, Latvia, and Pakistan have been published in the Official Gazette. Hong Kong signed the treaty with Belarus on 16 January 2017 ({News-2017-01-19/T/5-previous coverage}), the treaty with Latvia on 13 April 2016 ({News-2016-04-15/T/4-previous coverage}), and the treaty with Pakistan on 17 February 2017 ({News-2017-02-22/T/4-previous coverage}). Each treaty will enter into force after the ratification procedures of the respective jurisdictions are completed and the ratification instruments exchanged.
