According to a release from the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS), Honduras signed the Ibero-American Social Security Convention on 13 May 2024, becoming the 16th signatory to the multilateral convention. The convention will enter into force for Honduras after it completes its internal ratification process and deposits its ratification instrument. The multilateral convention is currently in force for Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, and Uruguay.
