Guyana Provides VAT Zero-Rate for Certain Goods to Reduce Operational Costs for Businesses

Guyana's Minister of Finance has approved the Value-Added Tax (Amendment of Schedule I) Order 2025, which came into operation on 29 January 2025. The measures of the Order provide for the introduction of a VAT zero-rate for the supply of: Electricity generators; Machinery used in the agriculture sector; Automated poultry pens; and Veterinary supplies.
