On 27 August 2020, Ghana enacted amendments to the Communications Service Tax Act, 2008 (Act 754) that provide for a reduction in the communications service tax (CST) rate from 9% to 5% with effect from 15 September 2020. This follows an increase in the CST from the initial 6% rate to 9% in August 2019.
