On 16 May 2024, the German Bundestag (lower house of parliament) approved the Act on the Application of the Multilateral Agreement of 24 November 2016 and Other Measures. The Act provides for the preparation of the notification on the application of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI) to Germany's covered agreements (tax treaties).
