French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire announced on 22 January 2020 that France has agreed to suspend the collection of digital services tax (DST) until December 2020 in exchange for the U.S. agreeing to hold off on retaliatory tariffs on French goods. The agreement was reached between Le Maire and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on the sidelines of the Davos World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
