Finland's Ministry of Finance has announced plans to increase the VAT rate on broadcasting from 10% to 14% with effect from 1 January 2026. This follows the recently announced budget plans for 2025, which include increasing the VAT rate for supplies currently subject to the 10% VAT rate to the 14% rate, except for newspapers, magazines, and broadcasting.
