On 9 June 2021, Finland published Law 498/2021 in the Official Gazette, which provides for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Japan. The agreement, signed 23 September 2019, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month following the exchange of the ratification instruments.
