According to an update from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Macau and the U.S. for the implementation of FATCA entered into force on 30 July 2021. The IGA was signed on 14 December 2016 and although it only recently entered into force, Macau has been treated as having an IGA in effect with the U.S. since 30 November 2014.
