According to recent reports, the Ethiopian parliament has enacted a new commercial code, replacing the old code that has governed business operations since 1960. The new commercial code is meant to improve the ease of doing business in Ethiopia and includes the introduction of two new business forms, the one-person private limited company and the limited liability partnership.
