The Estonian government is reportedly planning to repeal the security tax on company profits. As previously reported, The 2% tax was approved as part of the Security Tax Act in December 2024 and is to apply from 2026. The government intends to repeal the tax before it takes effect. The Security Tax Act also includes a 2% security tax on personal income from 2026 and a 2% increase in VAT from July 2025. It is uncertain whether the government intends to repeal these measures.
