On 12 June 2009, the Ministry of Finance issued Decree No. 541/2009 on countries whose tax burden is deemed to differ significantly from the Finnish tax burden (the so-called black list). The Decree will enter into force on 1 January 2010, and will be applicable from the beginning of tax year 2010. The black list has significance when applying the amended controlled foreign company (CFC) legislation effective since tax year 2009.
