Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has announced plans for a reduction in the standard value added tax (VAT) rate from 25% to 24%. The reduction is to be included as a part of a broader package of tax reform measures meant to improve revenue while reducing fiscal pressure on both individuals and companies. Legislation for the reform measures will be ready later in the year and is intended to enter into force from 1 January 2019.
