According to a release from the Swiss Federal Council, officials from Costa Rica and Switzerland recently met on 15 July 2024 to discuss bilateral and trade relations, including the relaunch of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
