According to a recent release from the Costa Rica government, negotiations are underway for tax information exchange agreements (TIEA) with Bermuda, Panama, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. Any resulting agreements will be the first of their kind between Costa Rica and the respective countries. In addition, Costa Rica is currently negotiating a protocol to amend the 1989 TIEA with the U.S. Additional details will be published once available.
