According to recent reports, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) began discussions for a possible multilateral income tax treaty during the 12th CPLP summit held 18 to 19 July 2018. The CPLP was created in 1996 and is composed of nine members: Angola, Brazil, Cape (Cabo) Verde, East Timor (Timor-Leste), Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and São Tomé and Príncipe.
