Cameroon Ratifies CIPRES Multilateral Convention on Social Security

Cameroon-Benin-Burkina Faso-Central African Republic-Chad-Comoros Islands-Congo (Rep. of)-Equatorial Guinea-Gabon-Ivory Coast-Mali-Nigeria-Senegal-Togo

On 20 July 2022, Cameroon President Paul Biya signed the decree for the ratification of the Inter-African Conference on Social Insurance (CIPRES) Multilateral Convention on Social Security. The agreement was signed on 27 February 2006 by 14 member-states, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo. It will enter into force for Cameroon three months after its ratification instrument is deposited.
