The Bulgarian parliament reportedly approved the bill to expand the scope of the reduced 9% VAT rate to additional supplies in its final reading on 30 July 2020. This includes: Beer and wine provided as a part of restaurant/catering services; Common tourist services and excursions organized by tourist operators and travel agents with occasional bus transport; and Services for the use of sports facilities. The bill must now be published in the Official Gazette and will apply from 1 August 2020 to 31 December 2021.
