The Bulgarian parliament has reportedly approved amendments to the loss carryforward rules for controlled foreign companies (CFCs). This includes that tax losses of a CFC will be allowed to be carried forward for up to five years and that such losses may be set off against taxable profits of a CFC for Bulgarian tax purposes or against profits of another CFC in the same jurisdiction. The amendments apply for tax losses incurred after 31 December 2018.
