Bulgaria's National Assembly has announced the adoption of amendments to the Local Taxes and Fees Act, the Value Added Tax Act, and the Corporate Income Tax Act on 12 December 2023. With respect to corporate income tax, the key amendments are for the implementation of the Pillar 2 global minimum tax in accordance with Council Directive (EU) 2022/2523 of 14 December 2022 (previous coverage).
