Bulgaria's Ministry of Finance is reportedly considering certain amendments to the current BGN 50,000 turnover VAT registration threshold. One of the key amendments is a change so that the threshold only applies for resident taxpayers, with non-residents required to register before their first taxable supply is made. However, if a non-resident only makes supplies subject to reverse charge, no registration would be required.
