According to a release from the Luxembourg government, officials from Brazil and Luxembourg met on 1 March 2018 to discuss bilateral relations. During the meeting, the two sides agreed on the need to update the countries' 1978 tax treaty to incorporate the new OECD standards. Any resulting update would be the first to the treaty, and will need to finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
