On 8 March 2018, Brazil's Chamber of Deputies approved the ratification of the pending social security agreement with the United States. The agreement, signed 30 June 2015, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force on the first day of the month following a 90-dayperiod after the countries have notified each other of the completion of all necessary internal procedures.
