Benin's Ministry of Economy and Finance has reportedly released the draft 2025 Finance Bill. One of the main measures of the bill is a reduction in the standard corporate tax rate from 30% to 20%. With the reduction in the standard rate to 20%, the current reduced rate of 25% for certain taxpayers would no longer apply. In addition to the standard corporate tax rate reduction, the minimum tax rate of 1% is reduced to 0.5%. Subject to approval, the rate reductions will apply from 1 January 2025. Additional details will be published once available.
