Belarus has published Council Resolution No. 164 of 7 March 2024 in the Official Gazette, which includes two main measures targeting countries that have imposed sanctions on Belarus. The first measure provides that from 1 April 2024 until 31 December 2026, the tax rate on dividends and similar income of foreign companies not operating through a permanent establishment in Belarus is increased from 15% to 25%. This applies for companies located in a state that appears in the list of foreign states committing unfriendly actions against Belarusian legal entities and (or) individuals.
