Belarus Looking to Sign Amending Protocol to CIS Mutual Assistance Agreement

On 16 July 2020, the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) issued a release announcing that Belarus has expressed interest in signing the amending protocol to the CIS Mutual Assistance Agreement, which includes amendments regarding the electronic exchange of information for tax purposes. The protocol was signed on 2 November 2018 by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. In addition to Belarus, other CIS member states that have not yet signed the protocol include Moldova, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
