Belarus Approves Accession to the Amending Protocol to CIS Mutual Assistance Agreement

On 18 August 2020, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed the law authorizing the accession of Belarus to the amending protocol to the CIS Mutual Assistance Agreement, which was published in the Official Gazette on 22 August 2020. The protocol includes amendments regarding the electronic exchange of information for tax purposes and was signed on 2 November 2018 by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Other CIS member states that have not yet signed the protocol include Moldova, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
