According to a release from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Bangladesh and Hungary met on 18 September 2023 to sign certain bilateral agreements and also discussed the signing of an income tax treaty during a proposed visit by the Hungarian prime minister to Bangladesh. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
