The tax office of Bonaire, Saint Eustatius, and Saba (the BES Islands) has issued a release announcing an extension for submitting 2020 company annual accounts (financial statements). The release provides that the annual accounts for 2020 are due by 30 September 2021 but due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, an automatic extension to 31 December 2021 is being granted. No action from companies is needed for this extension. Failing to submit annual accounts by 31 December will result in the imposition of fines.
