The tax office of Bonaire, Saint Eustatius, and Saba (the BES Islands) has announced an extension for submitting 2020 individual income tax returns due to the current circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Normally due 18 May 2021, an automatic extension to 18 August 2021 is being provided without taxpayers needing to take any action. However, it is noted that if a refund is expected, returns should be submitted by 18 May so they can be processed by October 2021 at the latest.
