A draft bill for the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2011 tax treaty between Austria and Tajikistan has been submitted in the Austrian National Council (lower house of parliament). The protocol amends the final protocol signed with the treaty in regard to the application for Article 26 (Exchange of Information) in order to comply with OECD standards on tax transparency and assistance. The protocol will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from that date.
