According to a release from Mongolia's Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, officials from Austria and Mongolia met from 27 to 28 February 2024 for the first meeting of the expert working group for the negotiation of a social security agreement. The next round of negotiations is scheduled for May 2024. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
