The Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board has issued a notice on an increase in social security contribution rates in 2023. The rates are increased by 0.5%, resulting in combined rates of 14% for the public sector and 15% for the private sector, while the self-employed rate remains at 10%. Separate employee and employer rates are as follows: Public Sector: Employee - 5.5%; Employer - 8.5% Private Sector: Employee - 6.5%; Employer - 8.5% The rate changes are effective from 1 January 2023.
