On 19 December 2012, the amending exchange of letters, signed by Switzerland on 3 May 2012 and on 6 May 2012 by the United Kingdom, to the Switzerland - United Kingdom Income Tax Treaty (1977), as amended by the 1981, 1993, 2007, and 2009 protocols, entered into force. The exchange of letters generally applies from 15 December 2010.
