According to recent reports, officials from Albania and Vietnam met on 17 March 2022 to discuss investment and economic cooperation and agreed to accelerate negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
