Albania's Ministry of Finance has announced the presentation of a package of social support measures, including an increase in the minimum wage from ALL 32,000 to ALL 34,000, which will be the second increase in 2022. The minimum wage is used in determining the minimum and maximum basis for social and health insurance contributions. Considering the increase in the minimum wage, the minimum basis will be increased from ALL 32,000 to ALL 34,000 while the maximum basis will be increased from ALL 141,132 to ALL 149,953. The increase is expected to apply from 1 October 2022.
