North Macedonia's Public Revenue Office has announced the signing of a memorandum of tax cooperation on 8 June 2022 by tax administrations in the Western Balkans, including the tax administrations of Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The purpose of the memorandum is to deepen cooperation, improve mutual relations, and exchange experiences in the priority areas of taxation. Further the memorandum enables the tax administrations to jointly fight tax evasion while also establishing conditions to reduce bureaucracy so taxpayers can benefit from the free flow of capital, goods, and services.
