Indonesia's Ministry of Investment has issued a release on the Pillar 2 global minimum tax (GMT) following the 55th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting that was held in Semarang, Indonesia on 19 to 20 August 2023. According to the release, the economic ministers of the ASEAN countries agreed that the GMT rules need to be re-examined in terms of its effect on investment.
