The Office of the United States Trade Representative has announced the release of the 2025 National Trade Estimate (NTE) Report. The NTE is an annual report detailing foreign trade barriers faced by U.S. exporters in different countries, including tax-related barriers such as tariffs, VAT/sales taxes, excise taxes, digital services taxes, withholding taxes, import duties, and other fees. The 2025 NTE Report covers over 50 individual countries, as well as the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the European Union and its Member States.
