On 30 January 2025, the Swedish Ministry of Finance announced that the government formally decided to suspend the 1993 income tax treaty with Russia. As noted in the related legislative page, the treaty is suspended in its entirety on 1 February 2025, but according to a related ordinance issued on 30 January, this will enter into force on 10 February 2025.
