UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has asked the EU for a further extension of Brexit to the end of January 2020. The request follows a vote in Parliament on 19 October 2019 rejecting the deal reached by the Prime Minister and EU leaders on 17 October. A new vote on the deal is to be held on 21 October, which if approved, may result in the withdrawal or modification of the extension request.
