On 10 April 2018, the United Arab Emirates President issued the federal decrees for the ratification of the pending income tax treaties with Burundi and Iraq. The treaties, signed 16 February 2017 with Burundi and 3 October 2017 with Iraq, are the first of their kind between the United Arab Emirates and the respective countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
