On 13 June 2018, the United Arab Emirates Cabinet approved the pending income tax treaties with Rwanda and Saudi Arabia and the pending protocol to the 1998 tax treaty with Turkmenistan. The treaties with Rwanda and Saudi Arabia were signed on 1 November 2017 and 23 May 2018, respectively, and are the first of their kind between the UAE and the two countries.
