U.S. Trade representative Robert Lighthizer reportedly stated during a Senate Finance Committee Meeting on 22 March 2018 that President Donald Trump has decided to implement a temporary suspension with respect to the new Steel and Aluminum tariffs for all of the EU, as well as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, and South Korea. Canada and Mexico were already exempted.
