U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has announced a letter urging Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to continue efforts to fully implement the 15% Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax (CAMT). The letter was sent by Senator Warren on 2 July 2024 together with Senators Angus King (I-ME) and Michael Bennett (D-CO.), and Representative Don Beyer (D-VA). The CAMT was signed into law by President Biden as part of the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022 and, despite having previously indicated that rules would be released in early 2024, Treasury has yet to finalize the rules.
