U.S. Finalizes Second Tranche of Tariffs on Chinese Imports

The Office of the United States Trade Representative has announced the second tranche of tariffs on approximately USD 16 billion worth of Chinese imports, which will be subject to an additional tariff of 25%. The tariffs are in response to China’s acts, policies, and practices related to technology transfer, intellectual property, and innovation, which are seen as unreasonable, discriminatory, and a burden on U.S. commerce.
