On 26 October 2023, the Turkish Parliament approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaties with Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Senegal, and Sri Lanka. The income tax treaty with Cambodia was signed on 27 February 2022 and is the first of its kind between the two countries. The treaty will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
